MGICIAN Orientation and Training Workshop

The first MGICIAN Orientation and Training Workshop was successfully held at the University of Cyprus in Nicosia, bringing together Doctoral Candidates, supervisors and consortium partners for a week of scientific training, practical laboratory activities and networking.
The programme covered thermoelectric physics, materials development, synthesis and advanced characterisation, including hands-on training in XRD, SEM/EDX, TEM and thermoelectric property measurements.
Dedicated sessions on research integrity, open science, FAIR data management, career development and dissemination complemented the scientific programme.
The workshop also provided opportunities for Doctoral Candidates to present their research, exchange ideas with supervisors and partners, and discuss future collaborations and secondments.
Workshop Programme
The workshop programme combined scientific lectures, hands-on laboratory training and transferable skills development, covering thermoelectric materials, synthesis, characterisation, research integrity, open science and career development.
